Assessments as a Prescreening Method

According to The Emerging Workforce Study, many employers are turning to prescreening tools and assessment programs to help streamline their hiring process. More than 60% of companies have increased their use of assessments in the past 5 years.

Assessment tools help streamline the screening process to quickly identify best-fit talent and can help control hiring costs. Research shows that when people are well matched to their position, attendance is better, turnover is reduced, job satisfaction is higher, job performance is enhanced. The employee and the employer share the benefits of achieving the best job fit. It is important to remember that assessments utilized for hiring purposes should be both valid and reliable as a measure of success on the job.

Ohio’s New Minimum Wage and House Bill 690
