Schlabig Partner Presents An Overview Of Business Valuations At Local Banks

Akron, OH, May 20, 2010...Schlabig & Associates, Ltd, partner Leslie D. Smeach recently presented a special business valuation overview to more than 16 business bankers at the Akron offices of The Huntington National Bank and FirstMerit Bank.

Smeach, a certified public accountant and certified valuation analyst, presents on this topic frequently and provides in-depth, timely insight into business valuations, including an overview of valuations, five myths of business valuations and procedures and methodologies.

Smeach is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), a certification issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The ABV designation is held by a limited number of professionals nationally.

Smeach, who joined Schlabig in 1990, also provides financial forensics accreditation for the firm, after earning the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designation in early 2009. He provides specialized services to the firm’s clients as it relates to bankruptcy and insolvency, computer forensics, economic damages, family law, fraud investigations, litigation support and stakeholder disputes and valuations.
